Sypnosis

Not under one’s own skin
“Anjali” explores the world of LGBTI through the exploration and portrayal of Anjali, a transgender character. Anjali is a small window through which the world of transgender, their issues, problems, hopes and fears are explored–a sort of a microcosm of the transgender world. Anjali is born as a boy, and who later discovers herself as a transgender. The documentary explores her upbringing in a small village in the hilly district of Nuwakot, a district neighboring capital city Kathmandu, the discrimination she faced, the struggle she did after coming to Kathmandu and also about her dreams and hopes about the future.
